Simple Chicken Korma

Korma is a dish originating in South Asia or some where in Central Asia...Korma has its roots in the Mughlai cuisine... You can use any kind of meat or vegetable for korma..recipe I did today is with chicken... so recipe goes like this:

Chicken with bones 1 lb
Oil 1/4 cup
fried onion 2 dish spoon
garlic paste 1 tsp
yogurt 1 cu
salt 1 tsp (to taste)
red chili powder 1 1/2 tsp (to taste)
corainder powder 1 tsp
turmeric 1/4 tsp
cardamon 3-4 (ilaichi)
bay leaf 1
all spice powder 1/2 tsp (garam masla powder)

Heat oil, add fried onion, yogurt, garlic, salt, chili powder, turmeric and coriander powder... mix

Add some water (around 1/4 to 1/2 cup) mix and blend..

when it get blended, add cardamons and bay leaf... mix...

cover and cook on low heat until oil comes up

Add washed chicken pieces... mix and cook on low heat...covered

if you feel like add some water... but chicken doesn't need water it will cook it in its own water... i just added 2-3 tbsp

when chicken gets tender.. add garam masala powder and now you can check the consistency of your gravy ... if its too watery cook it on high flame ...

dish out and sprinkle some garam masala on top and serve :)
