Potato and Peas Cutlets


Potato cutlets are all time favorite in each and every house and can be made with different ingredients... my great grand mother used to make this.. and those were my favorite since my childhood...so I though to share it with you guys also... 

Potatoes boiled cubed 2 big size
salt 3/4 tsp
black pepper 3/4 tsp

for peas filling:
peas 1 cup
oil 1 tsp
cumin seeds 1/4 tsp
crushed red pepper 1/4(to taste)
salt 1/4 tsp (to taste)
all spice pd (garam masala) 1/4 tsp

Egg 1 
bread crumbs for coating
Oil for frying


First boil peeled potatoes and let them cool down


Add salt and black pepper



Mash them with hand and keep them aside



For peas mixture.. heat oil add cumin, fry



Add peas mix


Add salt, crushed red pepper and garam masala



Add around 1/4 cup of water and cook till peas get tender... leave it to cool




To shape them.... take around 1 tbsp of potato mixture ... put 1 tsp of peas mixture in between... then take more 1 tbsp of potato mixture and cover



and shape it like an egg



Roll the cutlet in beaten egg then in bread crumbs



Put all the cutlets on side...



Then deep dry them on high flame till golden brown... serve with ketchup
