Steam Chicken Roast - maslay wala


This is one of its kind steam roast... with a touch of our desi spices... so we need:

chicken 1 lb ( i used only drum sticks ... you can use whole chicken as well)
yogurt 1 cup
salt 1 tsp (to taste)
garlic paste 1 tsp
green chili paste 1 tsp
pepper corn (sabut kali mirch) 1 tbsp
fennel seeds (saunf) 2 tbsp
coriander seeds 2 tbsp
cumin seeds (zeera) 2 tbsp

first on a griddle put coriander seeds, cumin seeds, fennel seeds, pepper corn ... and toast them 


put toasted spices on a flat surface


coarsely grind them with rolling pan... or any specific thing to grind them



take yogurt in a bowl, add chili paste, salt, garlic paste, and toasted and grind-ed spices

Add chicken and mix well... and marinate it


put the chicken in steamer and cook till tender


 Serve with your favorite chutneys or dips :)
