KFC Style Hot Shots with Arabian Rice

If you’re like my family, you probably have that one favorite restaurant dish that you could eat all day, every day!
But whether you’re on a budget or just feeling too lazy, or dining out every day is probably not feasible, or you are away from home and miss all those restaurant food.. I’ve found the perfect way to bring the restaurant at home!

This KFC-style hotshots with Arabian Rice recipe that you can cook at home to recreate until the real deal is available!

Unfortunately, though, you’ll have to do the dishes!



Ingredients:


For hotshots:
 
Chicken boneless - 1 1/2 lbs
Salt 1/2 teaspoon 
Black pepper 1/2 teaspoon 
Mustard powder 1/2 teaspoon 
Paprika 1/2 teaspoon 
Vinegar 1 tablespoon 
Chili garlic sauce 2 tablespoon 

Batter:

All purpose flour  - 4 tablespoons 
Corn flour 4 tablespoons 
Salt 1/2 teaspoon 
Baking powder 1 teaspoon 
White pepper 1/2 teaspoon 
Chilli sauce 2 tablespoons 
Chilled milk - to make a smooth batter

Coating:

All purpose flour 1 cup
Baking powder 1 teaspoon 

For Rice:

Rice 2 cups - soaked and drained
Oil 1/4 - 1/2 cup
Cloves (longien) 4-5
Salt 2 teaspoon or to taste 
Garam masala powder 1/2 teaspoon 
Freen chilies - 3/4
Yellow food color 

Sauce

Chili garlic sauce 1 tablespoon
Ketchup 1 tablespoon
Chili sauce 2 tablespoons 


For rice: heat oil, add cloves and cook till you start getting the aroma 




add soaked and drained rice, add salt and all spice powder, mix for 2 -3 minutes


add water, enough to cook rice.... (for 2 cups of rice add 3 1/2 cup water)... cover and cook on high flame till you see only bubbles over rice


take around 1 cup of rice out of that... add food color and mix


add in remaining rice... dont mix... cover and simmer

mix in after 5 minutes... add sliced green chilies... cover, simmer and cook till rice get tender completely,


For Hot Shots:


add chicken in a bowl... marinate with salt, b.pepper, mustard pd, paprika

then add vinegar, chili garlic sauce... mix... and leave for 15 minutes



then make a batter in a bowl in flour, corn flour, salt, baking powder, white pepper, paprika, chili sauce, and make a smooth batter with chilled milk


add all chicken marinated chicken in batter


separately mix, flour with baking powder... pick one piece at a time... roll each piece in dry flour mixture ...roll them 3-4 times...


and deep fry all of them


make a sauce mixing all ingredients


now, assembling:

place the cooked rice on serving platter... place the chicken pieces over them.... drizzle the sauce over it and serve
