Pancakes

A pancake is a thin, flat, round cake prepared from a batter, and cooked on a hot griddle or frying pan..... and these lighter than air, fluffy pancakes are yummy to have in breakfast..... you need

all-purpose flour 1 1/2 cup
baking powder 2 tsp
sugar 2 tbsp
salt 3/4 tsp
eggs 2
milk 1/4 cup
melted butter or oil 3 tbsp
maple syrup/honey to drizzle on top
fried eggs for serving with pancakes

Mix flour, salt, sugar and baking powder in mixing bowl

add eggs.... mix well

add milk and make a batter... whisk well

let the batter rest for 15-20 minutes

heat pan to max, lightly coat the surface with oil/butter

then using a big scoop or directly pour the mixture on the pan.... (don't try to round the pancake by pouring in a circular way, just dump the mixture and it will take its shape)

when bubbles start forming on the top side of the pancake....gently ease the spatula under the pancake and turn it.... don't pat down or press down the pancake... it will ruin the texture inside

take it out on serving platter when done from both sides... drizzle maple syrup or honey and a teaspoon of butter.... serve with fired eggs and enjoy

  1. Salam Mahwish,
The recipe is really good and easy.. I just think there is a small error in the ingredients section. The milk is written as 1/4 cup, I think its suppose to be 1 and 1/4 cups of Milk..
I have prepared the batter, will be making it in the morning.
    Thanks for the lovely recipes...

    Regards,
