Orange Raspberry Mascarpone Trifle اورنج رسبیری ٹراۂفل recipe by morEwish

 


Layers of citrusy orange curd, fresh raspberries, soaked ladyfingers and freshly whipped mascarpone cream come together to make a creamy, citrusy, show-stopping dessert!









I just love a trifle! They feed a crowd, are customizable, and make a lovely presentation. They can be made in a large bowl or in individual jars! While this gorgeous trifle have three main elements: the citrusy orange curd made with fresh orange juice, the homemade mascarpone whipped cream — and the raspberries and ladyfinger cookies. 







When I saw this recipe, instantly decided to give this a try with few of my own changes and I absolutely enjoyed this creamy, dreamy layered dessert - this coming from a person who is not that of a big fan of fruity desserts. 
Enjoy this trifle chilled, refrigerate this trifle at least 4 hours, but preferably overnight to let all the flavors and textures come together. Layers of this dessert will totally depend on the size and shape of your dish, you might have more or less layers.

Ingredients:

Orange Curd:

1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
8 large eggs
Zest of 1 orange
1/4 cup fresh orange juice 
2 tablespoon lemon juice 
Pinch of salt
1 1/2 sticks (12 tablespoons) unsalted butter, cubed

Trifle:

4 cups heavy cream
8 ounces mascarpone cheese
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
1/4 cup orange juice
One 7-ounce package ladyfingers cookies
2 cups fresh raspberries
1 orange, halved and cut into half-moons, for garnishing
