Cheesesteak Puffs چیزاسٹیک پف recipe for Ramadan by morEwish



These flaky and tender puff pastries are filled with all the fixin's of Philly's famous cheesesteaks. Easy, delicious and perfect handy snack for iftar.









The thinly sliced beef, the caramelized onions and peppers, the melty gooey cheese — instead rolling it up in a bread, stuffing in puff pastry and baked to golden perfection! Its a perfect freezer friendly snack to have on hand for iftar, after school or you can  serve to announced or unannounced company.

Ingredients: 


2 tbsp oil
8 ounces steak, iron or sirloin steak, sliced into very thin strips about 1 inch long
Salt and black pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 small onion, thinly sliced
1/2 small green bell pepper, thinly sliced
4 ounces provolone, slices or cut into small cubes
1 large egg mixed with 2 tbsp water
1 package frozen puff pastry, thawed (2 sheets)
