Valentine Brunch Board برنچ آڈیاز Ideas by morEwish

I personally beleive there should not be a designated day to express love but here is no harm in showing love and effection on a day or two and make it even more special for your loved ones. Today I am sharing this Valentine themed Brunch board so you can enjoy it with your whole family!

The awesome things about charcuterie boards or snack boards is that there is no end to the possible variations. There are few tips and trick to make it look pleasing which I already shared - you can check here
Today I added everything my family love for brunch, there is something here for everyone. I love switching up a few ingredients yields something new and amazing each and every time. On Valentine’s Day board you can add a small bowl of conversation hearts, red gummy bears, and LOTS of chocolate and whatever your family love!

I have added heart shaped cinnamon rolls in my board today. I mean everyone loves cinnamon rolls but the regular shape is nothing to shout about, so make them into these gorgeous heart shape rolls and I am sure your loved ones will feel even sweeter biting into them.

To make the heart shaped pancakes, I use a heart shape pancake mold but you can use a heart shaped cookie cutter.  If you don’t have a cookie cutter, you can get artistic and make free form hearts, either way the heart pancakes will be delicious because they are made with love. It doesn't have to be Valentine's Day to serves these heart-shaped pancakes to show your loved ones just how much you care.

Now making Heart Shaped Eggs transforms the humble boiled egg into something fun. It was perfect for valentines day brunch board. A fun, yet protein packed healthy breakfast! While there are a number of gadgets available to change your eggs into special shapes, the good thing is what I am sharing today does not need any special moulds.

You can add any fruit to this board, I cut an appple into thin slices and shaped into heard and then served sliced strawberries for the pop of color and to stick with the theme. I served a bowl of nutella with starwberries today, strawberries + nutella is something everyone should enjoy every hour of every day. It’s kind of a simple idea, but it is something that is totally amazing! You can serve bowl or melted chocolate as well.

Strawberry Fool 🍓 اسٹرابیری فول recipe by morEwish

If you’re looking for a super simple, last minute idea for dessert tonight, this Strawberry Fool is one of the easiest desserts you could make. It is essentially fresh strawberries and whipped cream but if you are looking for a healthy alternate substitute heavy cream with sour cream or greek yogurt

If you’ve never heard of a fruit fool before, you might read through the ingredients and instructions and conclude that it’s just fruity whipped cream, and you would be right and wrong at the same time.

True, it is basically a fruit puree swirled into homemade whipped cream, but it tastes like a fluffy whipped strawberry ice cream cloud. It’s light, textural, flavorful heaven. And like you may have gathered by this point, it’s really simple to make. Let me show you how to do it!

Ingredients:

3 cups sliced strawberries
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
2 cups heavy cream
Mint leaves, for garnish

No-Bake Strawberry Cheesecake 🍓 | How to slice Cheesecake 🍰 perfectly by morEwish

I absolutely love cheesecake, and I absolutely love strawberries. The only problem is that when the weather heats up and strawberries are in season, the last thing I want to do is turn on the oven for an hour to bake a cheesecake. That's why I needed the perfect no bake cheesecake recipe.
This no bake cheesecake is as simple as they come, no fancy ingredients or techniques involved. I want to take advantage of fresh strawberries 🍓 while they are in their peak season so I made my No-Bake Strawberry Cheesecake.

I love how this no bake cheesecake recipe has a classic cheesecake flavor and creamy texture, but is way easier than making a baked cheesecake. The fresh strawberries give a beautiful pop of color and taste, and it’s the best no bake cheesecake recipe I’ve ever tried.

I’m continually surprised by how amazingly delicious a no bake cheesecake can be. And that is doubly true since Cool Whip, is not in the list of ingredients. Anything made with Cool Whip to me just tastes, well, like Cool Whip. Certainly not cheesecake, that’s for sure. (Although I am big fan of cool whip) 😋

Although cutting cheesecake is quite straightforward, there are a few tricks to achieving perfect slices. I’ve messed up enough cheesecakes to know this for a fact, by the way. So, to help you, I’ve outlined a step-by-step process that, with a little practice, will yield even slices.

First of all, it is easier to cut a cheesecake that is well chilled. Therefore, just remember to take your cheesecake out of the freezer a little while before you plan to cut it. Don’t let it come to room temperature, though.

Another easy trick to cutting cheesecake neatly is that of keeping the knife you are using clean and smooth. Constant dipping and cleaning will prevent chunks of cake from the previous slice from landing or sticking to the top of the next slice.
(I get impatient. Maybe you do, too. Easier to just take a fork to the damn thing, isn’t it?) 🍴

Smooth and creamy, and filled with real, fresh-tasting strawberry flavor, this cheesecake gets the texture just right 🍰 — even without all the fuss of an oven and a water bath and all that. Wouldn’t it be perfect for your holiday table?

Healthy Chocolate 🍫 Banana Bread 🍞 Recipe by morEwish

Nothing tops old-fashioned banana bread, except maybe this chocolate version! Each slice is studded with nuts!

I was thinking a lot about banana bread lately, more specifically, what could make banana bread even better than it already is… CHOCOLATE! Lots of it! 🍫 Added a few handfuls of walnuts too, which went great with the chocolate and banana flavors.

This healthy chocolate banana bread is not overly sweet! The recipe only calls for a 1/3 cup of sugar, but if you want a sweeter loaf, you can round it up to a 1/2 cup.
If you cannot find coconut sugar, you can substitute an equal amount of packed light brown sugar.
The walnuts and chocolate chunks are both optional, but great additions to this healthy chocolate banana bread. I call this healthy chocolate banana bread healthy because, to me, it’s made with healthier ingredients I feel good about. That said, it’s still banana bread!
If you want an extra decadent treat, drizzle the loaf with chocolate syrup before serving! I used my homemade chocolate ganache 😉

Video Tutorial:

Ingredients:

1 cup plus 2 tablespoons whole wheat flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, sifted
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

2 large eggs, lightly beaten, at room temperature
3 teaspoons milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 and 1/2 cups VERY ripe banana, about 5 or 6

Halwa Poori and Aalo chana bhaji | How Desi celebrate Valentine | Breakfast/brunch recipe by morEwish

So all you see out there, girls are excited about the valentine day doing everything to look gorgeous. It is a perfect day and goal is to achieve awesome looks. Excited for chocolates and red roses, all dressed up, Red lipstick, high heels...  and Oh those red Facebook heart statuses...

I say dont forget best breakfast over this weekend, Halwa Poori with aaloo Chana tarkari..

I am not Anti-Valentine or even a pro valentine but apparently in Pakistan/India, Valentine’s Day is like a national holiday. Ok, not really but close to. And the best part is that everyone young and old, single or married is included in the celebration. So 80+ year old grandparents get calls from their grandchildren wishing them Happy Valentine’s Day! I am wondering what thoughts are going through the head of Nani Jan when her granddaughter calls her and wishes her! Kindergarten children also receive little cards with cute little bees buzzing around saying “Beeee mine” — anyone else thinks this is carrying things too far?

Having said that the weekday breakfast struggle is real, but the weekend is the time to unwind and take the time to make something you really want. And at-home brunch means no waiting in line, as many poori's as your heart desires, and, best of all, eating in your pajamas. So i though to share this recipe today...

We have Aaloo Chana Bhaji, Halwa and very quick and perfect poorian!

How Mom celebrate Valentine | Double Chocolate Mug Cake recipe by morEwish

Before you had kids, Valentine’s Day was a fun holiday for you and your partner, at the very least, a restaurant meal where no one needed their food cut up or help wiping their butt.

Those days are long gone now that you have kids and unless you want to shell out money for a babysitter and an expensive Valentine menu served by a bitter waiter (who would rather be with his girlfriend), you’re probably not planning on anything terribly romantic. And that’s fitting, because your kids are center stage now with the Valentine’s shenanigans.

After all, they’ll have the class party, where you probably have to send in a treat. They’ll need to fill out cards for the whole class and you are at the kitchen table for what feels like eternity while they write out every. last. one. The party’s over! 💓💓💓

So I thought to make and share this Chocolate Mug Cakes for Two are quick and easy, delicious, portion-controlled, chocolate desserts for you and your sweetheart that are perfect for Valentine’s Day or any dayj you would like a mini chocolate cake for one or two.

Video Tutorial:

Thing you need:

Self raising flour 1/3 cup
Cocoa powder 2 tbsp
Sugar 2 tbsp
Brown sugar 2 tbsp
Egg 1
Milk 1/4 cup
Butter 2tbsp, melted
Vanilla essence 1/2 tsp
Mini chocolate chips 1/4 cup

Despite these differences, all of my Valentine’s Day spent with my kids and hubby are the best ones yet. All the heart shaped paper cards they make me are far better than two dozen red roses... Alhumdulilah!
