In Home Online School آنلاۂن اسکول setup | Back to school fall 2020

Are you sending your kids to school physically or they will study online? How many times did you answer this question? I will declare this a question of the century and frequently asked question of 2020!

When online or in-person debate is over because schools across our town have moved to reopen with online-only instruction atleast for Fall. Then I ask a question to myself, do I have that setup? It might continue like this for another year. And online schooling will look a lot different than in the spring. Kids have to check in daily and will follow a regular bell schedule and be graded

My target was to find a space which can be a designated space for girls online academy, so everyone could work easily without interruption. I reminded myself, you are living in your space differently now, it has to be comfortable, it has to be something that if you are going to be spending a lot more time, it has to be funtional, too

Girls thoughts:

Eashul 12 year old and starting 7th grade is not ready for this. When we had a choice to pick hybrid or online she wanted to do online and decided not to go to school until world is corona free. Now she is worried about using screen all day. Its her age, hormones and as a matter of fact real concerns.

While Ellmyra 9 year old starting 4th grade was confused before, because she misses her friends, reccess and school fun but was scared of corona, and now she kin dof feel meh about this online academy setup

My points to motivate them (or myself as well)

🔹️ You guys are making history- this never happened before and will not happen in future (inshAllah). You can tell your kids that you actually experience that what they will be reading in their history books

🔹️ It’s gonna be so much fun especially lunch and snacks, no snack limit, mom will make different  lunches and you will get hot lunch everyday!

🔹️ How convenient it is that you are studying with a comfort of home

🔹️ We will plan a recess time as well, you can play in yard or outside or call your friends to get that school feeling.

🔹️ Right after school is dismissed, no homework (my guess 😉) because class work is what you are doing at home, so class work is homework and homework is class work 🥴🤭

Were they convinced? Eashul still had her reservations but Ellmyra thinks this year will be interesting and she is ready to give it a try!

DIY Food Photography Backdrop بیک ڈروپ by morEwish

Great things are built on a solid foundation, and your food images are no different. The backdrop that you choose is the backbone of your food scene. It will set the tone of the story you are trying to capture.
Now choice of food photography backgrounds can have a big impact on your photos. There are several resources online where you can purchase professional backdrops but these options can be expensive.

But how do you go about finding the perfect food photography background, without breaking the bank? My answer is DIY, make your own.
I recently participated in a DIY backdrop challenge which Sadra from Sweetographer initiated, she made a sample tutorial, and I created four backdrops using her techniques.
Here are my tutorial of DIY food photography backdrop ideas that look great and can save you lots of money.

Things I used:

(Available at any home store and found few supplies at Dollar Tree)

Smooth and lightweight wood board (I get the 2x2' size)
Sample size paints of your choice
Paint brushes
Large sea sponge (I used bath sponge)
Spackle Paste
Spackle knife

Take the time to experiment with the items you already have around at home before spending any money on supplies or shelling out for other alternatives, like vinyl food photography backdrops.
You may be surprised and pleased with the results and you wallet will thank you.

Hospital Survival Kit for Mom to be by morEwish

Ever wonder what to take to the hospital when visiting a mom and baby? Most people take a sweet gift for the little bundle of joy. But what about the mom?! She usually gets flowers or balloons.

Pretty! But what about something a little more useful? Most moms, new and experienced, take a bag full of necessities to the hospital. This is where this gift idea comes in.

Why not take a pretty bag full of thoughtful “survival” items?

So I made this fun little kit for a friend of mine who just  delivered a baby last week. It's been a few years since I've done that, but I still remember all the things I wish I had thought to pack. Such a fun way to celebrate the birth of a first, or tenth baby. I wanted to get her something before she went to the hospital.

...

And here is what I came up with  Mom’s Hospital Survival Kit  👶

Cozy Socks – You deserve to be comfy and hospitals are always cold for some reason.

Water Tumbler
– When you start nursing you need to stay hydrated and infused water that’s what you need.

Candy Dish – Just little something for all your many hospital guests coming to admire your new baby

And mom deserves a little something for all she just went through too!

Tea bags – Relax – you need it badly

Moisturizer – to keep your hand moisturized and soft to hold your soft new born

Makeup bag – carry your basic makeup stuff, after all you went through its time to shine a little

Tissues – to wipe away tears … yours and hers.

Advil – for when all else fails … take two

So we all through a baby shower party for her, all pink decorations around, we did potluck and she was our chief guest :)

The perfect gift for the soon to be new mother. I love the idea of gifting the mother things for herself. And the best thing is you can make it as big as you want. You could do a couple of things or several. It really is so versatile (and easy!)

These are some of her baby shower party decoration pictures! we really had fun doing it... (You can see it on our faces 😉 )

Do you know an expecting momma who would love a hospital survival kit? Is there something special you would include? I’d love to hear your ideas!
