In recent years, apple picking has also involved taking plenty of pictures and of course, adding them to all social media platforms. Trust me; it’s a thing—if an apple is picked but unphotographed, was it ever really picked at all? But seriously, taking the family on a trip to the apple orchard is both fun and gives you the perfect excuse to bake all sorts of heart-warming goodies.
Lets get back to the cake, moist and tender sour cream cake with crisp apples, topped with cinnamon sugar and chopped walnuts. I was going through Sara's flour and Spice blog apple cake recipe, where she shared her secret ingredient Cardamom powder, I thought to give it a try and trust me it gives cake a very mellow but distinct flavor.
This cake is simple enough for every day, and versatile enough for breakfast and evening snack and pretty much every moment in between.
