Aaloo Matar (Potatoes with Peas)

very light, yummy and very common vegetable recipe...  today i m sharing my family recipe.... all you need:

potatoes 2 large cubed
peas 1 cup
tomatoes 2 medium chopped
minced garlic 1 tsp
salt 1 tsp (to taste)
red chili powder 1 tsp
coriander powder 1 tsp
turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
oil 2 tbsp

heat oil add chopped tomatoes and cook till they get soft and tender

add minced garlic, mix and fry for 2 minutes

add potatoes, peas, salt, red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric and mix well...

add around 1/4 to 1/2 cup of water.. mix, cover and cook till potatoes get tender... on high flames reduce the excess water

dish out, and garnish with cilantro (optional) and serve
