Garlic Bread and French Loaf


Very famous, easy and go with anything bread... you need:

all purpose flour 3 cups
salt 1 1/2 tsp
sugar 1 1/2 tsp
yeast 2 tbsp
water for kneading 
egg white 1 beaten

for garlic bread:

soften butter 2 tbsp
garlic minced 1 tsp ( to taste)
parsley/coriander chopped 
cheddar cheese 

mix yeast with water and leave it for 5 - 6 minutes 


mix and add all other dry ingredients together and then add yeast mixture 


and knead with water till soft dough ... knead for 5 - 10 minutes... cover and leave it to rise for atleast an hour


after rise... punch it down.. knead it one more time... make a rectangular shape...


roll it like a swiss roll... give it slits... and brush it with beaten egg white...now cover and leave it for second proofing/rise ... for at least 20 minutes or full rise


bake it on 400 F/200 C till it gets a good golden color on top


Now for garlicy paste... make a paste with butter, garlic and chopped parsley


 diagonally cut the slices of french loaf


 spread the garlic mixture on each slice... sprinkle some cheddar cheese


and bake then on 350 f / 180 C till cheese melts.. and serve
