Chukandar Gosht | Beetroot Curry with meat recipe by morEwish

This Pakistani curry Chukandar Gosht has a deep purple hue very striking to look at because the natural color of the beetroot. It is truly delicious because the meat and beetroot complement each other so perfectly.


Chukandar Gosht is also one of those dishes that I remember eating in the winter times in my childhood it is truly delicious because the meat and beetroot complement each other so perfectly.

You need:

Meat 1 lb (veal, goat, lamb or beef)
beetroot (Chukander) 350 gm, grated
fried onion 4 -5 tbsp
tomatoes 3 medium, chopped or yougurt 1 cup
garlic paste 1 tsp
ginger paste 1 tsp
salt 1 tsp (to taste)
red chili powder 1 1/2 tsp
coriander powder 1 tsp
turmeric 1/4 tsp
oil 1/2 cup
garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
