This Pakistani Chukandar Gosht aka beetroot curry with meat has a deep purple hue very striking to look at because the natural color of the beetroot. It is truly delicious because the meat and beetroot complement each other so perfectly.
Chukandar Gosht is also one of those dishes that I remember eating in winter times in my childhood. Cooking meat dishes with vegetables are great way to enhance the flavours of meat stew and also it encourages one to eat vegetables that are generally frowned upon.
I add little bit of chopped spinach, it subside the sweetness and earthiness of the beetroot so it stands out and balances the spice, for sure, this curry has become one of our favourites!
