Chicken Bihari Boti


Bihari Boti is a marianted boneless meat which is spicy yet so tender and usually grilled....do try this recipe you will get the same authentic taste *inshAllah* of this savory dish... 

chicken 2 lbs
gram flour 3 tbsp
yogurt 4 -5 tbsp
salt 1 tsp (to taste) 
papaya paste 1 tsp
garlic paste 1 tsp
ginger paste 1 tsp
red chili powder 1 - 2  tsp
coriander powder 2 tsp
cumin powder 1 tsp
lemon juice 1/4 cup
red food color a pinch
oil 4-5 tbsp
shashlik sticks 
charcoal piece for BBQ flavor 

in a mixing bowl.... add gram flour, yogurt, salt, ginger and garlic paste, papaya paste, coriander powder, cumin powder... and make a thick paste with lemon juice and oil



add the chicken pieces and mix well.... and marinate it for at least 1 hour


heat charcoal piece.... put it on small piece of foil and put it on marinated chicken.... drizzle some oil over heated piece of charcoal... and cover immediately...


thread chicken pieces in skewers.... (soak skewers in water for 15 - 20 minutes before using, it will keep skewers moisten and they will not burn while cooking)


heat grill pan, spray oil.... and grill skewers ... turn sides and till chicken cooked through (you can do it on frying pan with 1 tsp of oil.... or cook in normal pot on high flame till done)


cook all skewers


i served it with paratha and chutney raita... and enjoy :)
