Handi is basically a clay pot... and its a deep, narrow-mouthed cooking vessel used in Pakistani/Desi cooking but now adays that's only a name to dish... we can just cook in a normal pot.. but if you easily find clay pot and cook in it that would be awesome... and if you have presentable handi you can serve in it... and i saw this recipe on a cooking show made by a cooking expert Shireen Anwer... so the ingredients are:
chicken boneless 1/2 kg (1 lbs - 1 1/2 lbs)
chick peas 1 - 2 cups
brown onion ground 3 tbsp
white cumin crushed 1-½ tsp
white cumin crushed 1-½ tsp
salt 1 tsp (to taste)
all spice pd 1/2 tsp
coriander pd 1 tbsp
crushed red pepper 1/2 tsp
chili powder 1/2 tsp
tomato paste 2 tbsp
yogurt whipped ½ cup
ginger paste 1 tsp
all spice pd 1/2 tsp
coriander pd 1 tbsp
crushed red pepper 1/2 tsp
chili powder 1/2 tsp
tomato paste 2 tbsp
yogurt whipped ½ cup
ginger paste 1 tsp
garlic paste 1 tsp
green chilies 6 (optional)
ginger Julian’s 1 tbsp for garnishing
coriander leaves chopped 3 tbsp
fresh cream 4 tbsp
butter 1 tbsp
oil 2 - 3 tbsp

oil 2 - 3 tbsp
Heat oil and butter together
Add ginger and garlic paste and fry for 2 minutes
Add chicken stir and then add salt, coriander pd, crushed red chilies, chili pd, cumin crushed and stir
Add tomato paste and mix... then cover it cook for 4-5 minutes... chicken will release its own water
Add chick peas, yogurt, onion, and cream... cook for 3-5 minutes on high flame... sprinkle all spice pd, coriander leaves chopped and simmer for 2 minutes (dum)
Dish out and garnish with some coriander leaves and sliced ginger and serve
