Dark Chocolate Cake with Milk chocolate Frosting

Chocolate cake is everyone's favorite, so is my families.. its a dark chocolate cake... with milk chocolate frosting florets all over... and all from scratch... 

For Cake:
egg 1
sugar 3/4 cup
dark cocoa powder 1/2 cup
1/3 cup butter (melted) 
all purpose flour 1 cup
baking powder 1/2 tsp
baking soda 1/2 tsp
butter milk 3/4 cup (u can make it - 1 cup milk with  1 tbsp lemon juice) 
vanilla essence 1 tsp

first grease two 8 inch baking pan... and cover it with flour... tap the excess

and preheat oven on 350 F/ 180 C

in mixing bowl, add melted butter add sugar and beat till creamy

add egg and beat until combined and fluffy

add sifted flour, baking powder, baking soda and cocoa powder and fold them with light hand until all combined.... add butter milk or milk..... mix

pour them in prepared pans

now bake them for 20 - 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean... 

now milk chocolate frosting:

semi sweet chocolate 6 1/2 oz (1 cup + 1 tbsp)
confectioners' sugar, sifted 2 cups
milk 1/4 cup
butter, softened 1/4 cup (1/2 stick)
vanilla extract 2 tsp

In sauce pan... add chocolate and butter...

melt them until smooth... transfer in mixing bowl and cool

add sifted sugar... and vanilla and milk.... mix well

you will get a smooth creamy icing :)

now layering part: place one baked piece of cake....  spread icing

put the other baked cake... and cover all over with frosting

I did florest with same icing... and pearls to decorate... chill and serve :)
