Dhuwa-Dar Biryani (BBQ Biryani)
BBQ flavored minced meat cooked with some traditional spices, layered rice with tomatoes and boiled eggs... Something different to try if you are biryani lover. Got this recipe from Shireen Anwer's Show Masala Morning, did some changes and variate it my own way
you need:
Mince meat 1 lbs (I used chicken, but you can use cow's or goats as well)
Onion chopped 1 ½ cup
Rice 750 gm boiled (3 cups)
Oil 1 cup
Whole spices mixed (black cardamon 2, black pepper corn 3 -4, cloves 3 -4, cinnamon stick 1)
Tomatoes 2 slices
Yogurt 1 cup
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Green chilies 1 tsp
Salt 1 1/2 tsp
Chili powder 2 tsp
Coriander powder 2 tsp
Cumin powder 1 ½ tsp
Turmeric ½ tsp
Boiled eggs 4
Coriander leaves ½ cup
Orange color
Heat oil add whole spices (all garam masala), chopped onion, fry start changing color
Add ginger garlic paste and fry, add grinned green chilies, mix. Add salt, cumin powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder with some water... cook for 2 -3 minutes.
Add mince, cook for sometime add yogurt, cook till mince in done and extra water dries.
Add chopped coriander, fry well, remove and give smoke of coal to mince.
Now in a pan spread half boiled rice, sliced boiled eggs (I saved some for garnishing), coriander, sliced tomatoes, then mince, ending with rice on top, sprinkle food color with some milk leave it on dum for 20 minutes.
Garnish it with remaining eggs and serve
