Peas and Goat curry (Matar Gosht)


Another very famous curry... every household make it but with their own recipe...their style... I am sharing mine which thought to me by my mother.. so the ingredients are:

Goat 1 lb (I use leg part)
peas 1 1/2 - 2 cups
fired onion 2 - 2 1/2 dish spoon
yogurt 3/4 cup - 1 cup
salt 1 tsp (to taste)
red chili pd 1 tsp heaped (to taste)
coriander pd 1 tsp
turmeric pd 1/4 tsp
garlic paste 1 tsp
all spice pd 1/2 tsp
oil 1/4 - 1/2 cup

In a pot heat oil, then add garlic paste, yogurt, fried onion, chili pd, coriander pd, turmeric pd and salt and mix



add around 1/2 a cup of water and blend everything together, cover and simmer...



Cook till oil comes up... you can feel the aroma at this time.. you can smell the curry



Add the meat... cover and cook till oil comes up again...


Add enough water in which meat get tender and you will have a consistency of a gravy you required (this kind of gravy would be thin)

Add peas in between... sprinkle all spice powder in last... and dish out

sprinkle some all spice pd over while serving and enjoy with boiled rice or with naan
