Chicken Karhai (Chicken cooked in wok)

Basically karhai is wok in English... its a kind of curry with typical spices used in different timing and different style and cooked in wok.. but you can cook in any pot (so did I)... but to display some times there are very presentable wok, which are used to serve this curry... so the ingredients are:

chicken 1 1/2 lbs
ginger paste 1 tbsp
garlic paste 1 tsp
salt 1 tsp (to taste)
red chili pd 1 tsp
black pepper 1 tsp
coriander pd 1 tsp
black cumin (kala zeera/shah zeera) 1 tsp
sugar 1/2 tsp
fenugreek (qasoori methi) 1/4 - 1/2 tsp
tomatoes 3 big sized
yogurt 1/2 cup whipped
fried onion 1 dish spoon (optional)
oil 1/2 cup
coriander leaved 1/2 cup for garnishing
green chilies 5-6 
garam masala (all spice powder) 1/2 tsp

take all the ingredients out...

heat oil, add around 1/4 tsp of ginger paste in oil (take out that much from the whole quantity of ginger) and a pinch of fenugreek... mix

Add, chicken and ginger and garlic paste

Cook till it changes its color

add roughly chopped tomatoes, and cook till are soft

add salt, black pepper, red pepper, coriander powder, black cumin and mix cover and cook

When chicken in almost done..add whipped yogurt mix and half of green chilies ...sugar and fenugreek...

at this point if you want some gravy add fried onion ... or skip and and you will have more savory karhai :)

when oil comes up and you got the desired consistency of the gravy... add chopped coriander leaves (leave some for garnishing) sprinkle all spice powder and simmer for 2-3 minutes and done

dish out... garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve :)
