Choco Strawberry Cake

As in my other post I said that I used 1 packet of cake mix and make different variants so form that same cake... I made Choco strawberry cake... I am starting with the basics again... and you need:

betty crocker super moist triple chocolate fudge 1 packet
oil 1/4 cup oil
water 1 1/4 cups
3 eggs

For ganache:

1 cup semi sweet morsels
4-5 tbsp heavy whipping cream

for strawberry sauce:
fresh strawberries 8 - 10
sugar/ brown sugar 1/4 - 1/2 cup

to frost:
cool whip 1 box
grated chocolate
few chopped strawberries

First grease pan... spray oil cover the whole pan then sprinkle flour all over... then dap that pan all excess flour will go out

pre heat oven at 325 F

Take the cake mix out in a mixing bowl

Add the oil in that mixture mix well

Then add eggs and mix properly

Add required water... be careful at the end... you may hold some of it

Pour the mixture in greased pan and bake it for 20-30 minutes

to check out the cake insert wooden skewer or toothpick to check out the cake...when it come out completely clean means your cake is done...

take out ...rest it for 5 minutes... take out from the pan and put it on wire rack and cool completely

For Strawberry sauce which we used to sandwich the cake:

in a pan add chopped strawberries and sugar ... now that totally depends how sweet the berries are... mine were very sweet so I just added around 3 tbsp of brown sugar and thats it....

blend everything together

Cook till sugar melts and combine and you get a thick sauce... keep it in fridge to chill

 Now Assembling:

Half the cake horizontally...

take one half use it as a base ... This cake was already very moisten one... so I didn't moisten it... if you want to ... just moisten yours with cool sugar syrup or with any mild kind juice like... pine apple....

take big dollop of cool whip ... and spread over one half... make about 1/4 - 1/2 inch thick layer

spread the strawberry sauce over it... you can put the chunks of berry over it

Then put the other half of cake

then crumb coat the whole cake... by crumb coat I mean (for those who dont know) ... coat the whole cake with a thin layer of frosting and keep it in fridge for atleast 15 mins

Then cover the whole cake with more frosting thick about 1/4 - 1/2 inch

then you can give any design or can keep plain.. i make it wavy kind with the help of cake knife or with the back of spoon..as shown in the picture

then I sprinkle the grated chocolate over it

I decorate it with ganache florets and slice of strawberry

else you can use your own creativity here...

serve chilled.. and Enjoy
