Sabut Masoor Daal سابت مصور دال recipe by morEwish

Updated on March 17th, 2020

Sabut Masoor Daal or Kali Daal also known as Indian Brown Lentils. Creamy, delicious, easy to make, and healthy. Uses simple ingredients that you will have in your pantry. Vegan and Gluten free.

These lentils are a rich source of dietary fiber and have 11 grams of protein. They contain nine essential amino acids, which makes them a popular source of protein for a plant based diet. Brown lentils hold their shape well while cooking. After cooking, they have a wonderful creamy texture.

This sabut masoor dal is slightly on the thicker side and it gets even thicker and creamier as it cools down. That’s why it goes well with roti or paratha too. You can make this daal following same recipe on stove-top pressure cooker, or in Instant pot as well. Serve this sabut masoor dal with roti, paratha, rice, quinoa or any other grain of choice.
